We 'de-cedar-ed' our yard this summer (the dog was rolling in the pollen, then in our bed), and want to plant trees to replace them. We're looking for someone familiar with the soil and limestone around this area, who could also advise us on some aesthetics as well.

Thanks!

Pin Oak or Red Oak. Red requires a soul amendment and a bit more care, but they are both great trees.

Woody, we have at least two Oak Wilt specialists and other landscape company owners in Avery Ranch. They could help with disease avoidance and landscape design, I reckon.(not sure where in Cedar Park you're located) You might try a shout out on the yahoo board...http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/Avery/messages

Huh...as far as I know, the group name is just Avery . No qualification is needed other than a yahoo acct. This should get you there:
