I'm going, but not sure if I want to do it all three days. A city council member is part of a bike ride there that I might get in on:

In case it isn't obvious, the parking lot for bicycles is about a mile from the entrance to COTA.

They'll be running shuttles, but in your scheduling you need to make allowance for the time to catch and ride a shuttle (lines? could be!) or to walk the extra distance. And on leaving, allow time for the valet to retrieve your bike. I see several potential crunch points if you are planning a quick getaway.

Maybe I'll go out to my property just down McAngus Road and watch the race from there - can see about half the track from the elevated NW corner.

I'll be there, ostensibly in the Turn 12 bleachers but more likely wandering around the track. I'm most looking forward to hearing the cars (IMHO they've been rendered quite unattractive ever since the "broken nose" front body work became the norm). Listening to them come out of Turn 11 WFO should be a sound not to be missed. And it goes without saying that the start of the race on Sunday when they're on the grid before the lights go out should be awesome. Alas the days of the V12 are long over, those would be the cars I'd want to see and hear.

BTW I'm also looking forward to MotoGP. They sound great as well, but I'll miss the Honda V5's, they were absolutely amazing sounding vehicles, stunning.

Awesome race indeed!
Congratulations Hami! That was the best scenario that made the championship contest heat up!
I really enjoyed Hami-Vettel battle; so nice to see the winner defined at final laps!
Furthermore, we were so glad for watching some old school veterans among the audience like Rubens
Barrichello "Rubinho" and David Coulthard
We are looking forwards to the final lap in Brazil to know who's gonna be crowned; Alonso? or Vettel?
Thanks Austin for hosting such a race that's gonna be strongly held in our memories!
Thank you again guys for sharing your comments and experiences!
Take care and have a nice day!

I think you might be the first Sudanese to post on the Austin forum.

I'm so glad everything went off without a problem. I'm very proud of my city being able to handle both the logistical as well as the hospitality end of the event. I met some great volunteers and employees at the track this past weekend and everyone was excited to be a part of something new and grand for Austin and Texas.
