you're welcome, and I'll post any more updates as they come to me. Where I'm at, the powerlines won't come through this neighborhood thank heavens, but they will go close to my daughters school, which I'm not too thrilled about. I don't think the lines will actually go right smack through the middle of town either. I think they at least had to concede that growth happened after the original survey.

I'm bringing this up again because I got a reply to my email from the HCG. They say they have gotten the powers that be to put buffers and walls (for noise reduction and to make it look better) around the site of the switching station and that the lines that come around or through town are going to be on single poles, not the huge "erector set" metal things they originally had planned (erector set is what he said in the email) and that the lines also can be put in different spots along the planned route to diminish the impact of whatever may be around it. The email seemed a little more optimistic and the man who emailed back says they are still not letting the issue rest with the LCRA and the Power Company.
