I am not sure any city has this requirement.

Another mandate that doesn't affect me personally but makes the price of entry in an already overpriced town that much more expensive. It's so easy for the elites to impose these costs on everyone, hey, no skin off their nose right?

Accessibility codes were always in the past meant for places of public accommodations. I guess the city of Austin is defining your private home now to be a place of public accommodations.

Is the City Council going nuclear in anticipation of the district based change? This is San Francisco level craziness.

I really wish the City of Austin would stop trying to think for me. They're having a hard enough time just thinking about the basics of running the city.

Welcome to Progressivism! Isn't it wonderful for them to think of all these intellectual decisions that take our freedom of choice, away.

When you elect people to the City Council that believe in a Nanny State, you should not be surprised when they add layer upon layer of regulations to our lives. The City Council believes they know how you should live your life and have every intention of telling you how to do so.
