Thankfully, we have PEC. No social engineering in the rates.

Default Oncor users

Ok, back to the drawing board. Yesterday we received a call from "Everything Energy" that Texas Power has gone out of business and they will become our new provider if we do not find another one by December.

I really dislike spending time researching all the providers but do appreciate how the "power to choose" site allows you to do so in a non-chaotic way.

Most of them appear to charge a fee if you use less than X amount of energy which really grinds me. Then, in their paperwork they pretty much all say regarding a "fixed rate" that the price can change. AARRGH!!

Pretty much seven or eight months out of the year we are going to be charged a fee for using less energy than they require. So much for conserving.

Then there is the FEE for ONCOR on top of that.

You're right Cap'n this thread should have been area specific. So my question goes out to any ONCOR users....have you found a good energy provider and would you care to share that with the forum?

Thank you in advance if you do.

I think five years ago qualifies as ancient history. The perps were tried, convicted, and sentenced. Zero impact on today's rates.

Unlike Austin's social engineering.
