Use to be that rail would get defeated every time too. But they kept plugging away.
The Affordable Housing stuff was the ONLY bond proposal on that ballot that didn't pass, and the city is pretty much doing it anyway.

The competing proposal to the 10-1 redistricting was only put on the ballot by city counsel in hopes that it would split the vote for the 10-1 redistricting and the other, therefore making them both invalid.

But you have to admit that just about every flipping bond gets passed.

And I won't be complaining because I will be supporting the school that educated and provided for me. UT will always have a special place in my heat, hook em.

I'm glad you feel that pride. Why not just write a big check every month to the longhorn foundation then? Pay for that special place as much as you like- but why should anyone else feel that obligation? Rather than force everyone to pay for the med school, why not just fund it with charitable contributions from folks like yourself?

Nah, that makes too much sense.

Just for the record since I don't know how much it has been publicized, UT System is undergoing a huge efficiency initiative though I'm not sure the exact reasons why. They will be moving to shared and managed services for IT, HR, financial, and other admin offices.
