I'm sure all three of those places would be great but a $90k salary will go much further in Austin than CA. The traffic in Austin is an issue but the metro rail is scheduled to start up next Fall, which will make commuting from suburbs easier. You just have to purchase or lease a home near your work and try not to treck across town during peak traffic times. There are lots of condos available downtown, making it easier to live, work, and play all in the same area.

Hands down San Diego. At your age, at your stage of life you can't beat it. Rent will be expensive, but get a place in Pacific Beach or Mission Beach and you will have plenty of night life. Enjoy LA every once in a while on the weekends, but enjoy life for a while.

If you want to buy a house and settle down, Austin would win hands down, but strictly for fun, SD all the way.
