Perhaps you are map challenged. That is nowhere near Lakeway.

It is close to the intersection of RM620 and Anderson Mill Rd.

The article is very misleading. Those apartments are a good 15 miles away from Lakeway. Lakeway doesn't even have any apartments - none whatsoever. Close to Lake Travis? These apartments are in pretty much in Cedar Park.

Please delete this thread as it is very misinforming.

These are being built near Lake Travis, not Lakeway, correct. Sorry for the misconception. The thread is not misleading, just the name of the area, so if a mod wants tot correct it.

I agree. Those apartments are closer to Cedar Park than they are to Lake Travis, and almost on the other side of the county from Lakeway.

Maps are really hard, aren't they?

I know the article says "near Lake Travis," but I don't even think it's that close to LT.

They are about 5-6 miles from Lake Travis (Marshal Ford or Volente), by road, so that is relatively close. They are on the 'lake side' of Cedar Park.

Lakeway has a "low rent district"; its along Sailmaster Street and adjoining streets. The houses are mostly older, poor quality duplexes, and mostly rentals rather than owner-occupied. We checked out a number of them about 3 years ago, when we were looking for rentals in Lakeway.

I thought you were going to say Apache Shores...

And again, a once casual, beautiful drive with wonderful scenery has been converted into an asphalt and concrete human wasteland.
