Hey guys. New to the board but I really like all the posts.

I lived in Austin for 9 years about 4 years back. I returned from abroad and purchased a house in New Bruanfels. My work is thankfully bringing me back to Austin, and we just put a deposit down on a new home to be built in Woodland Hills, of MLK (or 969) just two miles past 183.

Does anyone have any feedback on the area? A colleague mentioned that there is a new city park going in that area just off the Colorado River, and I've heard about plans for the Villa Muse complex. I also seen new positive development in that area including the new wide road, the Agave 969 sub division and some other things that make me feel as this is going to be a hot new area for growth (and hopefully raising property values).

Does anyone have any feedback on the area or Centex as a builder. We got what I feel is a very good deal on the house and got it upgraded to a point we want for not too much. Any feedback???

My family moved into Woodland Hills in June 2007 and I have nothing but good things to say about the community and Centex. The only thing I don't like is that the HEB is ghetto so I use the one on Red River near Airport blvd. I heard that alot of this area around here was bought out by a commecial property company since they put in that SH 130 down the road.I would expect a new HEB soon close to Manor. Also a new county park was put in near Manor and it is real nice. I think it is East Travis County Park it is on the website.
Pretty much this place can only get better, you know all those time you ever said I wish I would have bought property when it was cheap so you could make an ass load of money well this is one of those times.

My only negative would be the jail that is just down the road. I did like that fact the lots has lots of trees.
