Is Belterra a good place for interracial couples?

While I share your fears about rural Texas you will be fine in the Austin area. Interracial couples aren't uncommon. People in apartments will care even less. I lived in an apartment for almost year here and I don't think anyone said two words to me and it was a Benetton like multi-racial complex.

I'm almost to Dripping Springs, we've had to problems in Austin proper, but noticed a lot of looks and whispers in the neighborhood we are looking to buy in (Belterra), was just wondering if that was the norm here. :/ we have two kids, I don't want them to have to deal with someone else's hangups. :/

I live not far from Belterra, but have not lived there. I am not aware of any reason to think interracial couples are not welcome there.

Belterra is in zip code 78737

Maybe not? Judging from the graphs, it is significantly whiter place than areas near by. So your family would be more distinctive. Hard to know if that would translate into being poorly received.

Well, we choose Belterra, because of the hill country views and the close proximity to Austin and San Marcos, my husband works within 15 minutes of Belterra, and the schos had great ratings. We just feel as though we've been poorly received by most of the families, it could be we are just overly friendly and warm towards people and the people here may prefer a more standoffish vibe. We've recieved questionable looks from families and people seems reluctant to speak to is. :/ Thank you guys for your input, I'll just give it a bit more time.
