I would like to know of some good kid friendly musicians to follow who frequently play in Austin and where to find them if there are common spots. I've seen a few on the Free Fun in Austin blogs but don't want to mention any names in particular to bias the answers. I will mention that I'm also interested in fun music that may not be specifically tailored to kids. I saw Flying Balalaika Brothers at Whole Foods once and my 4yo loved it.

Nutty Brown Café has kids nights on Tuesday, I think. It's been a while since we attended, but they used to have a kid friendly band on those nights.

Too bad Joe Scruggs is retired. I swore he was living in our house, based on the songs he performed.
