Stoners, Weirdos & Hipsters are hackneyed.

Grackles & Vagrants are good ones. (funny & topical). Armadillos, of course is the answer, but you can't have an NFL team (or an MLB team) without a $500 million+ stadium...... & we're not building one.

I doubt we'd even go halfsies with SA.

I know there's a lot of politics involved with stadium deals. I think it's feasible to split it with SA as you mentioned. Then the location could be halfway between SA and Austin, maybe New Braunfels? The Jets and Giants play in northern NJ and even though the team says NY, it's really including the NJ and Connecticut metro area. Same could work for Austin and San Antonio.

I think it would best be placed out in the sticks somewhere off the 85 mph section of 130. Then we don't gum up our local traffic.

Except that Houston is already closer to Austin than many communities within the Jets/Giants fanbase are to northern NJ! Learn to love the Texans, OP.

Agreed. NO city stadium, NO SA/Austin stadium built outside Lockhart, NO pro NFL team in Central Texas is needed.

Root for the Texans or Cowgirls if you must. (HS football is better entertainment anyway).

I'm already a Jets fan but I'd rather root for the Texans than the cowgirls any day.

Austin probably has a better chance at having a pro cricket team than NFL lol

Cricket would be awesome. As would an MLS or rugby team.
