Ok guys, it's our first New Years in Austin. I'm not gonna be out NYE but I am looking forward to some seriously good spreads on New Years Day. I need to know everywhere that is going to have a beautiful (lots of choices), affordable (gonna have kids in tow) meal. I know most will cringe, but I would love to find a great buffet type New Year's Day meal.

Jack Allen's Kitchen does a good New Year's Day brunch. I'd call to see if they take reservations.

I just spent half an hour researching and providing URL's for you and hit Post and found out I was not logged in so my work disappeared. Here is my shorter version:

Ditto to Jack Allen's
Rob
Cafe Mimi's has good food, kids menu and nice decor
Uncle Julios is new TexMex downtown, might be fun if it's open
None of the above are buffets.
Trudy's North Star had a buffet NYDay a couple of years ago. Don't know about 2014

Oh no Pinkribbonaustin! That is the most infuriating thing when I do something like that lol. Thanks so much for the effort.
