The boundaries do seem awfully large to me. It encompasses Jester Estates, Great Hills, and Westover Hills. Even some parts of Northwest Hills go there.

I'm curious to see if the addition of a big apartment complex in this area will increase property values of homes in the surrounding area. This particular stretch of Koenig Lane (Lamar to Airport Blvd) is all residential, so it'll be interesting to see if the retail in this apartment complex will transform the area.

Looks very pretty. Doesn't look like the multi-"family" that I was hoping for though. More yuppie apartments.

Yeah, seriously. That corner is part of the North Loop neighborhood.

I'm sure they'll be overpriced and cause huge traffic snarls in the area.

It's another City in a Box. 200 but not more 300 unit apartment complex with retail on 1st floor and MF on other floors, depending on the construction on the building. Welcome your new neighbors and traffic load in about 13 months.

I see it every week at work.

See, I told you! Hyde Park!

I should have put a smiley or something on my initial post.

Edit: in the rendering, I wonder where the greenhouse gate thingy is going?

They're just calling it Hyde Park so they can charge more money for the apartments. Hyde Park has a certain cache in Austin that North Loop doesn't have yet.

This is my most used bike route (ave F across Koenig). It will be interesting to see if they change the light timing since it's a very long wait to get a green on Ave F now. There might be an exit directly onto to Keonig for going East, but I can bet it will be difficult to go west from there. I really hope all these new cars don't start driving the neighborhood roads, but I can imagine they will.
