WE will be moving to the Round Rock area in June and have a 2 year old Boy that I would like to start Preschool in September. I'm only looking for mornings not full days and maybe just 1-2 days to start. When we move I presume schools will have finished for the summer. While I could probably visit places it will be hard to get a feel for the place if there is no kids there, to see the staff interact with them, security and if the kids appear to be happy there.
Anybody know any place that they would recommend???

Actually, that hasn't been my experience. Most of the pre-schools/child care places serve working parents so there are kids in those places year round including the summer months. I'd try to visit ones that are near the neighborhood that you'll be living in as there's a good chance your son will be in a class with kids that live near you as well for outside school play-dates, birthday parties, etc. Some of the big ones in Round Rock are Stepping Stone, Primrose, Goddard, Children's Courtyard, Kids r Kids, Bright Horizons, etc. (I'm sure that I missed a lot as new ones keep popping up everywhere around here).

And as you'll see, parents' opinions on pre-schools vary widely as one misunderstanding could produce a bad review. Also, a Stepping Stone on one side of town might not be as good as one on the other side of town. Good luck.

^definitely.

And, it may be difficult to get in right away at some of them. Full-time enrollments usually have priority, and part time will cost significantly more than you would expect - two day per week may cost 60% or more of the full time rate.
