We're in Deer Creek, right next to Twin Creeks. Also a great neighborhood with lots of kids. Our pool is pretty run-of-the-mill, though. The elementary school for both Twin Creeks and Deer Creek is in our neighborhood. Don't know if kids walking to school is an issue for you. The less driving for me, the better.

My husband and I are trying to decide whether to move to Round Rock from Denver right now - he has taken a position at Dell and has the option of staying here in Denver but that would mean lots of travel back and forth. Are there any communities anyone can recommend around Dell for younger families. Apprecaite the help!!

There are a lot, and it depends on how much you want to spend and how close you want to be to Dell, but here are a few: Walsh Ranch, Sendero Springs, Avery Ranch (actually in Cedar Park), Forest Creek (although you might want to read the other thread about it in this forum), and Teravista. Personally like Avery Ranch, and you just hop on the toll road to get to Dell, its quick and easy.

Round Rock ISD and Leander ISD have good schools, and these communities have pools, parks, greenbelts, etc, so theyre all great for kids.

My husband, who works at Dell, and I have been in Round Rock for 7 years and been very happy. We recently decided to build a bigger house. We are building in Blackhawk in Pflugerville. We have timed it and if you take the toll road it takes 5-10 minutes.

Good Luck with your search!

The Dell at 45/I35 (not the Parmer one) is 10 minutes from Cedar Park on the toll roads...just timed it the other day for a client in the middle of rush hour.
