I know the best thing to do before making this big move would be to stay in Austin for a few days/weeks. I need help finding a good extended stay hotel/motel place for a week or 2 weeks. A good part of town close to the highway or easy access roads to make it easier to get around would be nice. I appreciate the help!

Some background on myself - 26 year old single female, works in the legal field. Any advise for places to stay, jobs etc is also welcome.!
Thanks in advance.

That's a good plan, If you want to experience Austin I would recommend somewhere in SoCo (South Austin), or downtown.

Hotel San Jose (SoCo)

The Driskill (Downtown)

There are tons of things to do in Austin.

The Driskill for a week or two? Job-hunting budgets must have changed since I last looked for work

Or are you trying to introduce her to the high cost of living in town?

OP a simple google search will get you far. But here is one that is nicely located, safe, and close to downtown and both the federal and county courts.

Lol. Weekly, OK based, moving to Austin with no job. Legal field.

Could you have any more strikes?

Weak! I recommend The Four Seasons for a couple weeks.

I would check our AirBnB so that you can have a place with kitchen facilities and laundry...
