I just took a job at ft hood and considering daily commute from teravista round rock to ft hood. it's obviously considered long/too far of commute but just wanted to get your opinion:

About ten years back I used to commute from Georgetown to Ft Hood. It was around 40 minutes to the main gate though it should be a few minutes less with the new 195. Only trouble I had was the wasted time waiting in line at the gate.

Geez, it took me
twice that length of time to travel 16 miles from my home in Cedar Park to work near 183/290 this morning.
40 minutes is really nothing if you're moving.
