Our middle son, a hippie, and his family are pretty strict vegans. Mrs. ScoPro has had quite an adventure trying to accommodate their needs at holiday family dinners. She has got the veggies & vegan style dressing down for Thanksgiving, but son brings his own "field roast". I never shot one of those before.

However, she has done pretty well adapting her crepe enchiladas to suit their vegan palates.

Especially given that Jim's is not a "specialty" restaurant at all, just good food at reasonable prices.

They also offer CF Pork Chops (boneless) as well.

Had to come try out the Jim's CFS again, finishing up the meal now. It was great. Breading is just enough to coat the meat. The steak was obviously tenderized, and it was tender and flavorful, could cut it with a fork, no gristle or excessive fat on it. Very enjoyable. Cream gravy had just a hint of pepper, was a nice complement to the steak and mashed potatoes (which seemed authentic). Side of corn was sweet and tasty. For $8.99 it is a heck of a deal.

Jim's is always solid. Not the best cut of meat, but when it's tenderized, battered, fried and coated in gravy you've gone out of that realm anyway.

Breaking is just about right, gravy could use some pepper, I just add a teaspoon of coarse ground black pepper and roll.

Best 3AM meal in the world.

I haven't been there is a year or so, so I'm not sure if the CFS at Homefield Grill is still good, but it sure used to be. They serve it with jalapeño gravy and that stuff was the BOMB! However, I like more breading and less meat, so I can't attest to that ratio at HFG.

Since Jims is in my neck of the woods, Im just getting back from the CFS dinner. Im no expert on CFS, as I ususally never eat it, but it was quite tasty. Nice recommendation.

Jim's is a sleeper. Best breakfast in town, if you can accept that they will never have gingerbread pancakes. Instead, you get the best waitstaff in town.
