That sounds about right. I've done the drive a couple of times, it's pretty much a reverse commute. You are already on the same side of the river, and heading away from downtown in the morning and toward it in the evening. If there is an accident or disabled vehicle on 35 then all bets are off and you should seek an alternate route, but in general I'd just take Ben White to 35.

Thank you. I tried out the route yesterday at 7:30 am and it took me 25 minutes to get to Kyle (from Woodhaven) via 290/35. Plan to do the Kyle to Austin evening route today.

Will school traffic make a significant difference along that route? Something to consider.
