Greetings,

I'm moving to Pflugerville next month and I want was looking for advice regarding what ISP's are the best for the area.

I have absolutely no interest in bundling TV or voice, I just want reasonable speed internet with no packet loss. (I've had bad experiences in the past with very fast connections that would drop for 3 minutes every 45 minutes and that is unacceptable for me.)

Well, I've done some digging and if you want a wired connection it sounds like your options are SuddenLink and ATT uverse. Both have about 60% approval on DSL reports.

I'm in Avalon and I think sudden link and at&t are the only wired providers.

I Live in Pflugerville and have Suddenlink Internet, TV and Phone service. Had them for a few years now, and I am very satisfied with the service and the support (support is in Texas, they speak English as their first language, and they are competent and helpful). I very rarely have issues with the Internet service and when I had problems in the past, they have taken care of me promptly. I recommend them.

In commons side there is TW, Suddenlink and Uverse... On my block/corner only Uverse. Worked well but i feel price went up a bit... jumping to the 300mbps for over $70 before taxes is not reasonably for me as I work from home and do graphic/photography work. my 24mb is plenty for me and my wife. if it drops closer to $50 then I might consider at a future time and period...

We've had better experience with Suddenlink internet than AT&T, but we're in an older neighborhood that just recently got UVerse. I don't feel like going through the whole switcheroo thing again, so we'll stay with Suddenlink.

Thanks for the feedback! Maybe I will give suddenlink a closer look based on these comments.

I've had Time Warner for about 4 years now in Pville and its been great, especially after the speed upgrades. I'm on a 100/10 connection for $50/month. I would get the 300/20 but I don't feel like going back to renting a modem or buying a new one at the current time.
