What's the attraction to 6th Street?

My wife makes me go to rainey street, though Im in protest since she wouldnt move to rainey street when I wanted to buy a house there in 2007. Lately we have been going to the domain or downtown hotel bars.

So now there are other places people go? Where do they go now (other than 6th st)?

Rainey, South Lamar, Manchaca Road, the Domain, Cherrywood/Manor area to name a few.
