Hi-

My family is looking forward to move to Austin area, like either Falcon Pointe or Teravista. I am an IT analyst and my husband is retired military, we have 2 kids/no pets. On our initial visit we looked a few homes at Falcon Pointe but have not look at any houses in Teravista. Our budget is 300k and no less than 2500SQFT. Any recommendations as far as the differences between these two neighborhoods? I 've heard terrible stories about Ryland homes and Centerra even though I fell in love with the Ryland model home. Also, I would like to know whats the average of the electricity bill, would it be a huge change going from a 2300 to a 3000 SQFT?

I don't know anything about the neighborhoods but your electric bill will be directly effected by the insulation in the house, whether you have siding, brick, masonry, or stucco, SEER/EER rating for the AC unit and # of units, whether the house is 1 story or 2 stories, and the temperature you keep it at. Lots of factors to consider.
