Leak?

Our water bill last month from was $68 for a 1500 sq house (2 person househould) in S. Austin (bill from City). By activity: Water $17 (2600 gallons), wastewater $20, clean community fee $7, trash $16, drainage $9. I water trees (not that often) and my garden, but not the grass and the pond gets refilled from stored rainwater.

Have any other Austinites who live in apartments experienced a similar sharp increase?

For reference, the increased happened in my June bill. The apartment is about 740 sqft.
You can thank WTP4 which is about to go online.

Gosh, I see so many explanations but none that get to the bottom line.

The bottom line is this: You are an American taxpaying sucker, your only job is continue to work and make the country run for the benefit of the bankers who inflate the dollar.

This inflation shows up in everything you pay for...which means your costs increase relentlessly, your wages are squeezed down, and you are left with no savings.

And then, when the system goes bust, the bankers will go to the Federal Reserve and get even more dollars.

Do you understand now why your water bill has increased? And have I convinced you that you face even more increases in the future?

Everything is going up, yes. We all have choices as to what we spend our money on - nobody forces us.

Think about that when you stretch to buy/rent in the neighborhood you think you deserve to be living in.

I have seen a noticable increase in WW charges this year. As I recall that was predicted when the City Council discussed approving an increase in the rates last year.

Check the "water" bill and read every line item.

When I was in an apartment in Cedar Park, it included pest control, in addition to water, drainage, and sewer charges.

Also a few bucks for garbage pickup.
