Are you uninitiated in the ways of John Taylor's Pork Roll?

Pork roll - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm thinking I might need to start a food truck...

Never heard of it. I'm willing to give it a try. But I've never been fond of minced ham. Must be an East coast thing.

Totally an East Coast thing. As much as I love a pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich, I will say that I've grown rather fond of breakfast tacos.

I'd rather have a breakfast taco, but I can love me a good roll.

I've not found much Italian here that we enjoy, the major issue has been overcooked pasta and bland sauce.

We do however really enjoy Francesco's in Marble Falls. To us its worth the occasional drive

But that doesn't mean that all Italian in the town sucks, just that a certain type of Italian place is not found here.

Pretty much what I was looking for. Hole-in-the-wall types are virtually non-existant and for good reason.

I can also see how Italian places out there are more chef-based and garish. Its like that all over now.

It seems as if no transplant Italians have attempted hole-in-the-wall type places? We might have to then.

it doesnt have to be a hole in the wall, just that there is no need to spend 500K-$1M on ambience and decor.

The food also doesnt need to be fancy, just simple regular italian.

Pick a great location, a good price point and get the food right.

I think mostly a New Jersey thing. I worked with some guys from Jersey once, or I'd've never heard of it. It sounds delicious though.

That's good news! Any idea when it will open?
