I'm looking for a builder that can accommodate our needs in a convenient package. I own 10 acres and would like to build a house between 2200 and 2800 Sq ft. Don't care for fancy house but rather quality materials. Does anyone knows any reliable builder in the area? How much would it cost?

It all depends how you define "Quality". Maybe $100 per sq foot as a very rough guide. Do you have utilities and water already at the property? Have you considered pre-fab?

I'd take a long look at some of the "Build on your Lot" folks like Jimmy Jacobs or David Weekley - the nice part of that is you'll be able to view homes that they've built in communities as well as their models. If you've never built your own house before, having a "turn-key" solution is much nicer than trying to put it all together yourself.

Probably closer to $120/ft for those guys though.

Check with the Best Western in Salado. Ask for Harry Patel or Tony Desai and ask who the contractor was for that building. I believe he was a local contractor so you might be able to get some answers there.
