Hey all new to the area (2 years) and looking for a few things..

First a music venue in Austin or the northern burbs that typically have artists like a day to remember, I preveil, of mice and men, we came as Romans or anything of the like. This music is classified as post-hardcore which is really hard to explain if you're unfamiliar with it. Basically rockish-alternative-punk- (think linkin park sort of).

Open indoor basketball courts near cedar park where you can play for free or a few bucks

Sand volly ball court in cedar park area

Austin actually has a really lousy metal/hardcore/punk scene. Everyone once in a while, you'll get what you're looking for at Mohawk or Red Eyed Fly, ACL Live and of course FunFunFun fest.

As for the other three:

None. You have to join a league.
None, with Weirdos gone.
Nope.

I'd suggest taking a look at Austin Sports and Social Club. You'll have to drive some places, but it's a well run deal.

The website for the YMCA in Cedar Park claims that non-members can play basketball for $5 on Wednesday nights. Probably best to give them a call to get the details.
