Funny how people from other states want to bring their stuff into Texas rather than enjoy what Texas has to offer. When I moved to Chicago for a few years I simply enjoyed what they had to offer...yea, I couldn't get good BBQ up there, but then again I wasn't expecting to!

Why does it have to be "rather than"? Why can't people enjoy things they had elsewhere AND things they have here????

So when you went to Chicago - you never stepped into a McDonalds? Not once? Or any other store that you can get elsewhere? Target???

If you want to make every area of the US a "anytown USA" be my guest. I just like to go to a city and enjoy something that a city (or state even) has to offer that I can't get anywhere else. Wow, imagine that.

Wow, imagine that most other people have no problem enjoying local fare, as well as national brands/companies.

Not sure why you are singling me out - as there are 3 pages of people chiming in about this restaurant coming to the area.

As for me personally, for groceries I eat by season mostly, so I almost always shop & buy local. Do you? And while I am super excited about the new Saltlick going in at Dell Diamond... I am also hoping this other place currently under construction is a Chik Fil-A.

With international & domestic import nowadays, you will be hardpressed to go ANYWHERE and find ANYTHING that you can't get ELSEWHERE, in some manner. Just FYI.
