Looking to learn more about the best neighborhoods in Austin for Stay at Home Moms with young children. Budget is between $400-700k. Walkability, friendly neighbors, good schools, and a big yard with shade are important. Would love to be close to running trails too.

Also, mom groups and activities for toddlers would be nice, as well as nearby Starbucks and Whole Foods. (My list of preferences is getting a little long )

Husband will be working from home, so do not need to be by a particular area for work.

Thanks!!

& Dripping, RR, Pville, CP, Gtown, Steiner, Lake Travis, Canyon Creek, Riverplace, Westlake Hills, etc, etc, etc,. D*mn.....you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a stay at home mom in greater Austin.

If one looks (Very roughly) West of Mopac (anywhere) and north of 45, you'll find a zillion of them. (you'll find them east of mopac too btw.

Minivans are awesome. They seat 7 or 8 and still have storage space, get better gas mileage than an equal sized SUV, have VERY convenient automatic sliding doors in the back, can double as a cargo van for Home Depot trips if you take all the seats out (ie. some fit a 4'x8' piece of plywood with seats out), and finally, it's a very safe vehicle as well.

Even the Dunphy's on Modern Family drive a Toyota Sienna SE. Minivans are the way to go for families especially if you have more than two kids.
