It needs to be 6 lanes from 71 to 183.

Sounds like somebody has a brother in the road construction biz.

And it's not ADDING six lanes ...although that might be interesting...sounds like Atlanta

I'll bet I haven't driven that stretch more than 4 times in 7 years here...y'all do whatever you want!

I agree with mm57553. Traffic is horrendous approaching Four Points during rush hour.

I drove the full stretch today. Can't say I disagree with the median suggestion either. Heading South there was a vehicle/motorcycle accident that had the lanes completely closed down for at least 10 minutes (the point at which I did a U-turn and took some back roads). On the way back North, I had to slam on my brakes to avoid an SUV making an ill-timed left turn from the P Terry's near Lakeway. Somehow I missed the Catholic church letting out, which usually causes Northbound traffic to snarl for a few miles.

The police blocking one lane for the Catholic church is big issue causing the weekend traffic at 620 near Anderson Mill. I don't understand how could they do it at the regular base on public street.

Friendly amendment: "y'all do whatever you can afford to pay for!"

We rarely drive on 620 west of 183, but when we do it ain't anywhere close to rush hour.

It's bad enough with the "light" traffic.

I think it's wrong for them to block lanes for church traffic. If they want traffic to run smoothly in those type areas, be it on 620, 71, or 360, they should add a right turn lane instead of just having the shoulder. Right turn lanes would ease a LOT of the issues around town where people can get over instead of going from 60 mph down to 10 in order to make the turn safetly. Having the right turns allows people to move out of the way.
