I know it looks cool and all but don't be lazy and clean up your mess. If you spend the time and energy to decorate the tree spend the time and energy to clean up your mess.

That is all.

Biodegradable decorations might be an answer for the lazy folk out there. I haven't noticed the stretch of 1431 in Cedar Park decorated yet...maybe I've just missed it. Didn't Christmas decorating start a month ago?

I really wish people would shut up about this. I live off 360 and spicewood springs so I drive by these trees every day during the holidays and have for years and there has never been much of a problem with folks cleaning them up. Sure, some take until the second or third weekend in January, but people just letting it sit there really doesn't happen. Plenty of stuff for people to get upset about without creating imaginary problems to worry about.

Being new to the area, I think it's pretty neat, but I understand he concern.

Is it just random people doing it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Rick - 1431 does have decorated trees across from the HEB.

The stretch across Spanish Oak Creek? I may drive by there tonight after picking up my BOGO Box Combo at Cane's !!! Guess it won't be too festive along there after dark I avoid that intersection @ Parmer most days/nights; but I can take Vista Ridge south from 1431.

Those trees that are not cleaned up by mid January are cleaned up by volunteers, not by the original decorators. A boy scout troop picked it all up previous years and local residents have done so in the past. This has been an issue for years. The PSA is warranted.

There are plenty of decorations down DB Wood between Williams and 29 in Georgetown; also saw several minivans alongside 1431 at Spanish Oak Creek this weekend decorating more trees.
