Sorry, I have not checked in lately.

Central, My brother is a builder and I am an electrician. He would need to get set up to work in Austin but he wants to anyway. We would sub out the slab and have that sub help with the ICF pour. We both hate plumbing

Honestly, we are also looking at homes on the market too. If it makes sense to buy instead of build to start with... still researching.

I like the look of Manchaca. There are some nice listings in the 230 to 300 K range. Looks like it is just inside the domain but I have not actually asked yet, Your right Izy, lots seem tricky. Thanks for the link.

Pretty busy just getting out of Hawaii right now. Looking forward to getting my feet back on Texas ground.

Cheers

Sorry so long getting back.

Central, My brother is a Texas builder with ICF experience. I am an electrician and have done some solar installs. We do plan on subbing out the foundation, plumbing, and HVAC. We will probably hire the foundation sub to help with the cement pour.

We both need to get papered up to work in Austin

Lots to do between now and then, My goal now is to have a solid, detailed plan.

Izy, The lot does seem like the tricky bit. Thanks for the link. They have a pretty cool portfolio.

Thanks for the feedback.
