I think even Forest Creek in RR might have a small house in your price range.
Hi riaelise: May I ask which builder at Blackhawk or Falcon Pointe, Reserve at Westcreek, and Forest Creek is at price range $250k? I looked at Ryland and their price is above $300k.

Thank you so much for your response!

Those city tend to have well-established boulevards with hedgerows, towering tree canopies, ivy, stone walls lining the neighborhoods, nice ornate street lamps, etc. It's hard to find a neighborhood in Austin that even mows their entry more than once a week. The only place in Austin that takes landscaping to the Dallas/Houston level is maybe Circle C.
Really? I love to work on the yards, like to plant flowers and maintain landscaping. In my current neighborhood I guess I'm the only one who cares about landscaping but overall because my neighbors hired some company to maintain it for them.

You live in Katy, which is a cheap suburb, and you expect to find the same in Austin, the most expensive major city in Texas? It is really ridiculous, almost insulting, that you even try to compare the two cities because one is the 11th largest city in the nation and the other is almost an ex-burb. You'll need to move out to a suburb if you want your suburban lifestyle, and the north and western suburbs have the better schools. Manor and pflugerville are going to be sub-par if you compare them to Katy standard schools. Leander ISD and Round Rock ISD is where you should look, and not expect to find a reasonably price home close to downtown with great school because it doesn't exist, and it shouldn't exist.
