Until recently, I would have said no way. But I do think it is entirely possible that the Raiders will move to SA. The city will have to approve and fund the stadium, and I think they will. It will cost a solid $1 Billion, but the revenue generated from it will more than cover that cost.

Interesting stuff. I am somewhat new to central Texas. Have been by the Alamodome in SA a few times.

But have never been inside. I think that a 23 year old stadium would not attract a Pro NFL team at all.

What will be done with all these stadiums? Seems as they get older, NFL teams abandon them, and run towards the money whoever will build a venue to make them rich, on the backs of the taxpayer.

Sure we have the population to attract an NFL team, but it seems irresponsible to get in bed with them, they are out to scam the taxpayer.

We moved here from Western New York. I have watched the superbowls up in Dallas and always wanted to watch a game there or an event. My wife and I can not afford to spend $200 for a ticket to a preseason game for the Cowboys. Probably add in $50 at least for parking, then a hotel, etc.

I ran the numbers it would cost us $1000 to watch a preseason game in Dallas and have a little dinner. These types of prices it makes less sense for the fan to go to the game, and more for the corporation to rent a luxury suite, to entertain clients and write it all off on taxes.

No NFL team will be playing in the Alamodome! The Raiders or any other team would require a brand new billion dollar stadium. Very poor use of taxpayer money.

I think we are at "peak NFL" right now.

Agreed. The NFL will never allow a team to come to SA unless there was a new stadium.

If Red and the Raiders want it I can see it happening. Jerry might have the biggest issue with it.
