We are staying in Houston and want to take a three day trip through hill country. We want to see flowers, farms, horses, creeks and rivers. My husband is disabled so he can't walk to far so we need roadside things only. We re looking for suggestions for a route from Houston and back to Houston. We are also looking for suggestions on where to stay, we like small b and b or dude ranch as long as it is "in the nature" not like a holiday inn....thanks everyone

Things to consider;

There are lots of B&Bs around Fredericksburg.

Hill Country Olive farm near Dripping Springs

Hill Country Lavender farm between Blanco and Johnson City

There are dozens of wineries around Fredericksburg.

There is an exotic animal zoo near Johnson City.

If you are there during the bluebonnet bloom season, drive the Willow City Loop. It's usually spectacular.

you could drive by Enchanted Rock. even from the road, it's pretty impressive. You should go into Fredericksburg to eat, shop, go to the great Pacific War/Nimitz musuem.

Driving around Utopia is really pretty. You could probably see a lot from the road or get off for a bit and see some things like rivers, streams, foliage, etc. without walking too far. I also like the small town of Bandera.
