Everything's been shipped up to Waco for the next season of "Fixer Upper".

I'm not sure if they sell exactly what you're looking for, but I've noticed a place called "Junk and Stuff" on burnet road.

There's a bunch of car part pull a part places - LKQ and Wrench a part down south/southeast.

There's an architectural salvage place out on 290 heading towards Manor.

There's the Habitat Restore that's moved down south as well it looks like.

Finally, you could call around to the metal recyclers like Austin Metal and Iron and see if they'll allow you to look.

Raw metal is so valuable (it is down now, but has been high recently), that most of it gets recycled rather than lie around.....

there's a lot of junk/antique shops in Johnson City, and also a few in between Austin and Dripping Springs, on the right side of the road towards Johnson City

Boy, remember those war surplus stores? Those were awesome places. I used to take my elementary school allowance and go to town in those. Any of those still hiding anywhere?
