Hi, my son will be attending Bailey Middle school next school year. I wonder if anyone know about their Pre-AP ( Pre-Advanced Placement) that is being offered. I would like to know its level of difficulty, pressure and pace in comparing to the "regular" classes. How suitable is this program for any child??
Thank you for any help and advice.

Is your child currently in the gifted program at his elementary school? If so, then I would keep him with his peers at the middle school level. Speak to each of his teachers to see what they advise in placement for each course- English, Science, Math, Soc. Studies.

I spoke with the Counselor over at Bailey and she said it is better to put a child in Pre-AP and then if they are not doing well to change their schedule and put him in regular classes, however the reverse situation is difficult since most AP classes fill quickly at the beginning of the year.
