Sounded like a low flying plane buzzing our house in Canyon Creek around 3 am this morning. Went on for close to an hour and kept me awake. Sometimes it sounded like it left, but came back minutes later. Definitely sounded like a plane (vs. helicopter) but I really couldn't see.

Does anyone one know why aircraft would be active at such an hour? I checked the news for explanation but couldn't find anything.

It could be what was posted above- or what about a drone?

Actually neighbors just confirmed sighting of a helicopter. But still no explanation in the news.

Thanks though.

Do your neighbors skinny dip at night in their pool?

Most likely Starflight.

3am, Saturday night, probably a serious alcohol-related wreck. You heard it twice because it flies out and back. Some times it has to circle or hover while they prepare a landing area near the wreck.

Starflight doesn't usually take an hour... It could have been the APD helicopter, it was out a lot Saturday night.
