I'm currently a lifeguard, but I'm already thinking about what's next. I want my next job to be something that's looks good on a resume, if I was applying for a job in the medical or scientific field. I don't have a high school diploma yet.

Agreed, first get a HS diploma. How are your grades? I'm not sure how many great jobs there are out there in those fields without a college degree...

i'd suggest a job dealing with customers in a retail setting. This will provide you with customer service experience, marketing, inventory control, salesmanship, and more.

Look at certifications in Business-Continuity and Emergency Management/Response, too. State certifications for florists, nursing aides, early-childhood teachers ... These could give you a "leg-up" on getting interviewed for a position in which you might be interested.
There are many, many areas of business where you can attend classes, take an exam, and get a certification for that line of business.
I believe there are quite a few organizations/businesses that will want a college degree plus
