agree with Clarksvillemom - you won't get any of the Austin "charm" by spending a week out at lake travis. 2-3 days then head to Austin. you can still rent boats on "lake" Austin - which is nice, and the homes that line it are impressive as well.

No idea how I did this TBH. Must have managed to hit 88 MPH on I-35 while doing an Uber ... what an accomplishment ... and I don't mean the time travel
