You might need to argue that in another state. Over 1 million Texans have a License To Carry...whether it's for "everyday life", I can't say.

Yeah, we're everywhere and nobody is aware of it.
Too bad the City of Austin officials can't follow the law and are violating the civil rights of law-abiding citizens who are less prone to criminality than the police.

Austin is violating a decades old state law. What would you have the AG do? His job is to enforce the law.

They are also going after San Antonio for the same thing.
The rooms where official government meetings are held are allowed to be posted with 30.06/30.07 signs. You can remain comfortable knowing that law abiding LTC holders will not be carrying firearms in such meetings.

On the other hand, I don't really think we can ban weapons at every facility that has people engaged in activities that get them riled up. Then, there WOULD be some excited folks!!!
The Attorney General has already ruled that only the actual rooms that house the court and court offices can be posted, not the whole building if non-court related offices are also located there. This little "community court" trick is not going to work.

If you live in Texas, you have been surrounded by concealed carriers virtually everywhere you went for the past 20 years, including the state Capitol. There have been essentially no incidents to speak of in those 20 years; the crime rates for LTC holders approach those of nursing home residents; they are almost too low to measure. There is no evidence whatsoever that supports the contention that licensed carry endangers anything or anybody.

Just because YOU are afraid of a firearm doesn't the rest of us are. How in the WORLD would someone be endangering themselves.

Is the gun going to jump up and shoot you all by itself? Do you have suicidal thoughts?

So a small minority of texans are concealed carry gun owners. Maybe time for majority to decide on the law

I'm not afraid of guns, just gun owners. Just like most politicians have an inherent amount of narcissism and sociopathy, most concealed carriers have a certain amount of paranoia and anger. All your concealed gun will ever do is save the cash in your wallet and add to the bullets flying if, god forbid, there's a mass shooting near you.
