I'll recommend the newer Pflugerville neighborhoods (Falcon Pointe, Blackhawk, Commons at Rowe Lane). There are some nice areas in that price range, with easy access to a one million square foot shopping center that is growing by the day. Schools should be Murchison/Rowe Lane and Kelly Lane Middle, both highly regards and probably the best of PfISD. I'm throwing Pflugerville in there because families predominate and you get a great value for your money there.

Agreed. Stone Hill is also supposedly getting a Costco but I haven't figured out where yet.

The Round Rock/Hutto corridor would be a decent option. Your price range is flexible there and taking the toll road to the airport would help. There's plenty of new construction out there as well.
