as someone else mentioned the female ashe junipers dont produce pollen so no allergy inducement.

For me I would plant a pecan tree. They will drop leaves and nuts, but the nuts are edible by you unlike oak trees. they also only produce nuts every other year

Pecan trees are very bare looking in the winter though.

I had good luck with loquat trees as they make a tall evergreen hedge of sorts once they gain some height. Fruit is an added bonus for you and birds but messy if near the house. Magnolias are beautiful but not native to this area and unhappy in the wrong spot. Pecans take a long time to get large, require a lot of water to do well and are not evergreen. Oaks are wonderful but apparently some don't like their natural proclivity to make leaves and acorns. I always checked the Ladybird Wildflower Center's webpage for planting suggestions.
