I've searched and found a few dated threads. I'm looking at Apache shores but I work close to Congress and Cesar Chavez. My current commute is from Circle C so I'm familiar with Mopac. I was looking at 620 to Bee Cave or even Southwest Parkway. Anyone have suggestions? Will I be regretting this move due to commute? Just looking for some input from people in the area.
I take Bee Cave Rd downtown often but not from as far out as you so I'm not sure how you nerves are going to hold up with the addition 620. Personally I don't like 71 and Southwest parkway...
I'm basing all my drive time on google and waze right now. Looks like 45 minutes if I can get out before 7am. Evening gets closer to an hour. Would you agree with these estimates?

If you get out before 7:00, it's probably accurate. But a little as five minutes later can ruin your entire morning. No kidding.
I live in this area. All the advice to take Bee Caves Rd is so completely wrong. You want to take 71 to Southwest Parkway and up Mopac. It's so much quicker and you don't have to deal with the lights on Bee Caves Rd through Westlake and get stuck behind the person wanting to turn left.
I was using Waze and it routed me the exact route you are talking about. I came back through Bee Caves just to compare and I like the 71/SWP better. Not sure how fair the comparison is right now since kids are on spring break. I'm sure next week will be different.
