I've been browsing the TxDPS website for drivers license information. It's kind of unclear about whether or not I need to take a drivers ed course before I can apply for a license there since I am under the age of 25. Can anyone confirm or deny this?? Thank you!

no, if you are licensed in another state you can just turn in your old license and get a texas one. There might be issues if you wait longer than the 90 day grace period.

In order to apply for a license as a new resident, you'll take the same steps as those outlined in “Apply for Your TX Driver's License" below, EXCEPT you will not have to take the knowledge or road tests IF:
Your driver's license is valid and unexpired.
Your license is from another U.S. state or territory, OR it's from France, South Korea, Taiwan or Germany.

You shouldn't have to take the test again, but be prepared to have all paperwork ready and understand that unlike many states, your license and registration and plates are not all handled at the same time or at the same window. If you are registering a car here, you will be asked to do that FIRST at the tax assessors office before you go get your TX license.
