We will be moving back to Round Rock in about a year. We lived there back in the early 80s near Lake Creek Park. Any way I was wondering if the bakery is still there that made the great yellow donuts? Does anyone remember a restaurant in Round Rock that was made out of railroad cars? I think it was near a motel on I-35. What about the drugstore downtown that had the soda fountain? Are any of those still there? Thanks!

The drug store I think is Quick Pharmacy and it's still in downtown Round Rock. Round Rock has definitely changed but there are still lots of things left from years ago. I believe the restaurant, though, went out of business during the recession.

This.

My first time in RR was 1987. What exists today is not even a close approximation.

The restaurant location used to be a La Margarita in 99 when I started working in the area. They moved to a newer, nicer location next door since then and the railroad car joint has been leveled. Last eatery in that building was a Waterloo Icehouse.
