Hello, I have been offered a Job in Austin as a State Disability Specialist and will be moving from Illinois to Austin Texas. I am in my early 20's and will most likely want to live in the city closer to my job(about 30 min drive to work or shorter). Can anyone please recommend good areas within the city to live in. My budge for an apartment is around $1,000-$1500.

Look down along Riverside, or you can go super small along SCongress, or newer in Onion Creek.

I'd recommend staying south of Riverside to keep the commute down. Working at HHSC I'm assuming you're not looking at apartments in the downtown area that can run from $1200 and up area. What is your budget? What types of things do you want to be by? Any deal breakers?

I am looking for an apartment that is relatively close to work and the downtown area. I am not sure what to expect living in Austin so for now I really do not have any deal breakers, just looking for an nice apartment in a nice location. I am looking to spend around 1000-1200 monthly. Any suggestions are appreciated.
