I know it's a secret and if you tell me, you might have to kill me. But as a diabetic, I can't just be ingesting random sweet stuff without at least knowing (or guessing) what it's likely to do to my blood sugar. Doesn't mean I won't ingest it; I just like to know what to expect so I can adjust elsewhere.

I've been googling this topic and I'm coming up with all kinds of hypothetical ingredients, including but not limited to eggnog, marshmallow fluff, Torani syrup, cinnamon, heavy cream, corn syrup, butterscotch, sweetened condensed milk, honey, and anchovies.

Kidding about the anchovies--just checking to see of you're paying attention.

Can anyone break (or at least loosen) the Seal of the Confessional and give me some idea?

Why not inform them of your dietary needs and ask them?

This morning I asked the counter person what was in it and she said "seven all natural ingredients, and we (the servers) don't even know." I said, "I just want to be aware of something that might sent my blood sugar up," and she said, "Oh, don't worry, this won't."

Besides, it's more fun to ask here.

I might email the company, too, as I'm sure they've been asked this before.

It sounds like something I would put in coffee if I had to drink coffee.

From all the descriptions of sweetness, I can't imagine it wouldn't throw your levels out of whack if you drink it the way some folks do. Perhaps a very small amount as a flavoring vs the main component of a drink would be OK.

I love sugar in many forms. I'll stay away from this temptation, especially since Summer Moon has a location next door to our condo! (Plus, $5 a throw is a touch spendy for my drinking tastes).

They have the "half moon," which is half the full dose of sweetener. I suppose you can also get a "quarter." Suggest you try and report back!

skim milk, heavy whipping cream, white chocolate, vanilla, irish creme, salt...and one more I can't remember.

Good friends with an ex-manager there. And yes, you can get a quarter-moon which is less sweet than even a half-moon.

You can even get an 1/8th moon. I just gave up with the moonmilk, tho. It's just too sweet for me.

So a barista, who admittedly doesn't know the ingredients, gave medical advice. If that isn't a recipe for disaster, I don't know what is. I'd contact the management or owners directly. There's no excuse for not providing ingredients when you have a bonafide medical condition. You also might mention their employee's willingness to jeopardize your health. I know I'd want to know.

You don't need to know the ingredients. All you need to know is how much sugar is in the milk. If they're using all natural, sweet products, then common sense says there's a lot of sugar whether it be fructose or sucrose. I doubt they're using sugar alcohols or stevia, and artificial sweeteners would make the products unnatural.
