I want to bring my little daughter to Zilker Park on Sunday, her first time, but am wondering if it is unusually crowded on Easter. Are there any kind of events going on that would mean a large mass of people would descend on the area? I just wanted to get her on the train and go for a bike ride around the lake.
Thanks

I would check to make sure there's not some kind of Easter egg hunt or anything, because it could be if somethings going on. I've been through there at Halloween and it's pretty full then. You could check Austin360.com to see.

Don't know how true this is anymore, but in general Austin seems to lose population around holiday weekends... students gone, lots of residents visiting family in places like DFW or Houston...

Don't know why it doesn't balance out with people coming in to Austin, but it doesn't seem to. So, if there is no event there, it shouldn't be too crowded. Definitely check for Easter events as love roses suggested.
