If you want bluebonnets you can go to Lady Bird's Wildflower Center and pickup seeds.

And the bluebonnets are starting to come out along Slaughter Lane. I'm still waiting for the Indian Paintbrushes.

Last year Home Depot sold Bluebonnets in a nice pot for about $15.00. I had them on the porch until they went to seed and I placed the seeds in front of the house in the drainage ditch, but they didn't come out. I might try to find some seeds and try again this fall. I want Indian Paint Brushes too.

Check out my bluebonnet pics on the Texas Forum.

We have them up here too in and around Hutto. They're beautiful. There is a yard on Red Bud that is full of Blue Bonnets. (the front yard is HUGE)

There are usually a lot of them at Old Settlers Park. I like to head out towards Brenham to see them.

Have you ever heard of anyone being allergic to bluebonnets? I just visited Austin/San Antonio area and got very sick the second day I was there. Don't know if it was an allergy to something that precipitated a sinus infection but I sure was sick. I guess I can't visit Texas in the spring when all the pollens come out in full force. Otherwise, beautiful state. Had a good time anyway!

It may have been oak pollen, which was very high the past few weeks.
